Poppyscotland LearningandTwinkl Scotland have launched an exciting new range of St. Valery learning resources in English and Gaelic for Second Level learners. The aim of these resources is to help young people learn all about the Battle of St. Valery (June 1940) during the Second World War and why the story of the brave 51st Highland Division should never be forgotten.
Resources are free and include timeline activities, Blether stations, differentiated reading tasks, POW accounts, poetry, songs and more.
One of the highlights is the poetry of Jack Low, a young Scottish soldier who was captured at St. Valery-en-caux on 12th June 1940.
