Poppyscotland afternoon held at Pittenweem Primary School!

23rd November 2018

We love to hear about all of the inventive ways in which schools mark remembrance and fundraise during Poppy Appeal. On Friday 9th November, the pupils at Pittenweem Primary School worked in their school houses to fundraise for Poppyscotland by holding a Poppyscotland afternoon. Pupils in each school house – Barn Owls, Wildcats, Foxes and Golden Eagles – organised and ran their own activities, making Poppy crafts, baking and playing games, raising a combined total of £283.38!

Pupils in school house Foxes said, “We had fun baking, making and selling our Poppy-themed crafts and cakes, raising money for a good cause.” Wildcats called it “A great day for a great cause – Charlie made felt poppies at home and brought them to sell at the fair”.

Thank you, Pittenweem Primary!
