Two schools were shortlisted and given the opportunity to work intensively with a professional filmmaker and see their ideas be brought to life on film. The two final films were then posted on the website and put to a public vote.
After a few weeks on intensive voting, the final stage of the 2012 Moving Stories Competition has concluded. The votes have been counted and verified and we are very pleased to announce the winner of the competition.
And the winner is…
Remembering in Kemnay.
Congratulations to Kemnay Academy on being named the winners of this year’s competition and very well done to the runner up: Kinlochbervie High School.
This year’s competition has been a great success and we would like to thank everybody that took part. In September 2013 we will be announcing our brand new competition so keep an eye out for the new education pack being delivered to every school in Scotland after the summer holidays to find out more!
Watch the films
A documentary which cleverly relates remembrance in a village in Aberdeenshire to the idea of global remembrance using interviews and local stories.
Based on an original script created by Kinlochbervie High School the film uses characters from different periods of time to voice each line of the script with dramatic effect.
